2023 – What a year!
Ilkley Manor House is now closed for winter, reopening on Saturday 24 February, 2024.
We hope you have all enjoyed our various events and activities over the course of 2023 – it’s been a busy one! We have, amongst other things:
- Danced around the maypole, welcoming spring with chaotic abandon
- Swept down the catwalk at our a medieval fashion show
- Opened our replica medieval garden (with the help of Alan Titchmarsh cutting the ribbon)
- Witnessed weddings and helped make celebrations magical
- Enjoyed our Summer and Christmas Makers’ Fairs
- Listened to some incredible musicians at our Friday evening concerts
- Learnt fascinating facts during our coffee morning talks
- Crafted with clay during Family Fun and guided people around the remains of the Roman fort during Heritage Open Days
- Developed a sustainability policy, planning for an environmentally-sound future
- Held numerous interesting and delightful conversations with visitors from as far afield as Spain and New Zealand.
We can’t wait to greet people again in February, exploring the House and all we have to offer. In the meantime, the medieval garden is open all year round and there are walks and trails around the building and surrounding area that we hope you will enjoy.
