There are some fantastic events coming up this April, with something for everyone to enjoy! Ilkley Manor House is open for free every weekend from 11am to 4pm—come along and explore.
The Solar Gallery exhibition, Landscape, Lace, and Luminosity, continues until 27 April, showcasing a beautiful mix of metalwork, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, paintings, photography, and more.
From 12 to 27 April, we’re delighted to host the ACE Bogs exhibition in the Western Gallery. Led by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, this fascinating project explores the peatlands of Denton Reserve and highlights their importance in tackling climate change and supporting biodiversity. Our monthly coffee morning takes place on 25 April at 10:15am, featuring local artist Lucia Smith, who will share the lively story of her quest to paint all the Yorkshire Dales and what she discovered along the way. Tickets are just £5 and can be purchased by clicking this link or in person at the House.
On 26 April, the Local History Hub is running a guided walk around Leeds Road, starting at Ilkley Cinema–meet there at 2:45pm to start at 3pm. See the Ilkley Civic Society programme of walks and talks here.
And don’t miss our exciting Spring Fair on Saturday 26 April, 10am–4pm! This is a free, family-friendly day filled with plants, crafts, and community. Visitors can swap or buy plants, explore stalls from local nurseries and makers, enjoy children’s planting activities, learn about local climate and conservation projects, and relax in the courtyard with live music and refreshments. No booking required, and the House will be open as usual for visitors.
