Art School Ilkley

The classes are run by Sarah and John. Sarah is a secondary art teacher and a practising textile printmaker. John is a practising artist who gained an MA in Creative Practice from Leeds Arts University. We have both recently exhibited in Kinvara, County Galway, Ireland as part of a week-long residency.
Cost £35.00 per day or £30.00 per day if more than one day booked or more than one child enrolled. Refreshments provided but please bring along a packed lunch.
Summer School for ages 8-16 yrs: 10am to 3pm
Both Sarah and John have experience in working with students of all ages and of differing educational needs and backgrounds. The classes focus on encouraging a free exploration of the creative process in a friendly and inclusive space.
We are running 3 weeks of 3-day courses exploring Drawing, Mixed Media and 3D.
Week 1 Monday 6th to Wednesday 8th
Week 2 Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th
Week 3 Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd
Day 1: Exploring different approaches to drawing using a range of techniques and materials
Day 2: Working with collage and paint to create work on different surfaces
Day 3: Using wire, clay and cardboard to explore the world of 3d and sculpture
