24th Jun 2022 10:15 am - 11:30 am
Dr Filippa Dobson Artist and Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Leeds
What do a giant’s wife and a goddess tell us about burial practices and ritual practices at two prehistoric cup marked monuments, hundreds of miles apart and separated by the sea? Filippa will explore this intriguing question as she explores the work she has been undertaking on the Badger Stone and The Little Skirtful of Stones, Ilkley Moor and High Pasture Cave, Strath Suardal and Isle of Skye, both SSSI environmental landscapes.
Tickets may be purchased online through Eventbrite (a booking fee is payable) or in person through the Box Office when the Manor House is open. Tickets may be available on the door but will be subject to availability and admission cannot be guaranteed.
The talk will also be streamed online. You may register online here for free. This is one of the first events we have live streamed and we are still learning lessons, so please accept our apologies in advance for any issues with quality.
