COFFEE MORNING: The Yorkshire Ripper

26th Apr 2024
10:15 am - 12:00 pm

Sir Rodney Brooke CBE was chief executive of the West Yorkshire Police Authority during the reign of terror of Peter Sutcliffe, the so-called Yorkshire Ripper. Between 1975 and 1980, Sutcliffe murdered at least 13 women and attacked several more.

Sir Rodney was a key figure in the dialogue between the West Yorkshire Police, the Home Office, the Police Inspectorate and the Police Authority. He reveals previously unknown facts about the hunt for the murderer.
