Moon Landing @ 50 Workshops – Make a Moon Lander

Whilst it might be, relatively, straight forward to send a rocket or a robot to the moon, sending humans can be much trickier. In this workshop you will make your own lander with shock absorbers to land your astronauts (marshmallows) safely on the moon- parachutes don’t work well if there’s not much atmosphere. After exploring, you need to get them back safely, so you’ll need to design a pod to land them safely in the ocean.

£1.50 per child for materials.
