Spring Fair Returns today until 4pm – the courtyard is buzzing with activity. Unfortunately the Maypole Dancing has been cancelled as it is too slippery.

On the hunt for plants to brighten up your home? Love nature and learning about what grows (and how)? Looking for a free, fun way to entertain the kids? Then the Ilkley Manor House Spring Fair is perfect for you!

What to expect

There are plants for sale, grown in Ilkley Manor House’s own gardens, alongside stalls from two plant nurseries – plants from Summerfield nursery of York and the award winning Three Pools nursery from Southampton

Children can enjoy hands-on fun at the children’s planting stall, and Ilkley Manor House is proud to support the Ukrainian community once again, who are selling items and offering children’s activities as well.

Ilkley Kitchen are selling nibbles, and visitors can enjoy live music from the U3A guitar group, The Tappers and have a go at Maypole dancing!

Love nature and learning about what grows, and how? Looking for a free, fun way to entertain the children? Then the Ilkley Manor House Spring Fair is perfect for you.

After exploring the stalls, visitors can relax in the courtyard with refreshments, nibbles from award winning Ilkley Kitchen, and live music from The Tappers. It’s a lovely opportunity to enjoy the spring atmosphere, soak up the community spirit, and spend time in the beautiful setting of Ilkley Manor House.

The Spring Fair is a celebration of community, nature and sustainability. It is also a chance to support local growers, community groups and the Ukrainian community, who the Manor House is proud to support.

No booking is required for any of the activities, and the House will be open as usual for visitors to explore.

Plant Stall

Plants at the Ilkley Manor House stall! Browse a gorgeous selection of plants that have been grown in our own medieval garden. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, it’s a brilliant chance to share tips, learn something new, and take home a little bit of green.

Children’s Planting Stall

Children can also enjoy hands-on fun at our children’s planting stall. It’s a fun, free activity designed especially for young gardeners; come along, dig in, and take home a little piece of spring.

Music & Refreshments

After exploring the stalls, relax in the courtyard with refreshments and live music. Enjoy the spring atmosphere and soak up the community spirit!

About the Fair

The Spring Fair is a celebration of community, nature, and sustainability. It’s a chance to connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts, inspire the next generation of green-fingered gardeners, and enjoy a lovely day out in the beautiful setting of the Manor House courtyard.
