A CULTURAL CENTRE

The Trust has developed the Manor House into a diverse and thriving cultural centre for the benefit of the whole town of Ilkley and its surrounding area, improving the cultural, heritage and educational life of the town and has created a vibrant tourist destination in the process.

The Trust’s aims are as follows:

  • Maximise the ongoing use of the building by local people, families, groups, community organisations and artists of all kinds on a regular basis
  • Reach out to people in Ilkley and the surrounding area who have not previously visited the Manor House
  • Attract visitors and tourists from Bradford, Leeds and beyond, establishing the Manor House as a core element of the Ilkley tourist offer
  • Encourage repeat visits by regularly refreshing what’s on offer

We want to provide useful facilities and services for:

  • Families with children
  • Adults with an interest in the arts and heritage
  • Community groups and organisations
  • Retired people, parents/carers with young children and others looking for daytime activities during the week
  • Schools and colleges
  • Artists, craft makers and people involved in the cultural industries
  • Tourists and day visitors
Mammouth

To continue our ambitious journey the Trust ,  working together with the community, will establish a self-sustaining long-term future for the Ilkley Manor House as a cultural centre. It is a mammoth task and we need your help!

Gifts to the Ilkley Manor House Trust will support the campaign to redevelop the building for the benefit of the whole community.  The Trust is currently revisiting its Our Future Plans 2019 – 2023 to look at our planning assumptions and make sure they are realigned to the new funding climate.  When these plans are ready they will be published on the website for consultation and wider discussion.
