02 September 2023: Dear Earth exhibition

Kicking off our autumn/winter programme of events, Ilkley Manor House is hosting a new exhibition entitled Dear Earth, organised and created by Climate Action Ilkley. This community collaboration, inspired by Letters to the Earth, will showcase a collection of letters written by local people, creatively expressing their feelings about the climate crisis.

Climate Action Ilkley hope that the exhibition will inspire our visitors to commit pen to paper, writing your own letters to Earth, ensuring that the content will evolve as new material is added.

Daisy Johnson, Trustee of Ilkley Manor House, says, “Climate Action Ilkley’s Dear Earth exhibition is set to be thought-provoking and enlightening. Having recently launched our own One Planet Living policy, aimed at addressing our responsibility to be an environmentally-accountable charity, we welcome any community project that wishes to highlight the importance of looking after our planet and its inhabitants.”

Dear Earth, which runs from 02 September until 29 October 2023, will be on show here at Ilkley Manor House every weekend between 11am and 4pm. You will also be able to view a physical copy of our new One Planet Living policy.
