CALL OUT: New Chair and Additional Trustees

Are you passionate about heritage, the arts, and community? Do you want to help shape the future of one of Ilkley’s most iconic historic buildings?

Ilkley Manor House Trust is looking for a new chair and additional trustees to join the Board and help us write the next chapter in the story of Ilkley Manor House.

We’re seeking individuals who bring energy, insight, and a commitment to public engagement. We particularly welcome applicants who have experience or strengths in one or more of the following areas:

  • Learning for all ages, with an emphasis on engaging with families and children at Key stages 1 & 2
  • Heritage and museum interpretation and knowledge of the cultural sector
  • Volunteering and staff management
  • Income generation, fundraising and grantsmanship
  • Marketing and communications
  • Community engagement and advocacy
  • Financial management
  • Business and/or project management in the not-for-profit sector

We are particularly looking for trustees who can assist with:

  • Fundraising, to help us secure the financial support needed to thrive
  • Marketing and communications, to raise the profile of the Manor House and its work

We are working to create an inclusive organisation both in terms of our board, staff, volunteers, visitors, and embracing a wide range of skills and knowledge from a diverse range of individuals and communities.
